Emergency First Aid at Work

Overview:

This course provides essential basic knowledge and skills to take charge of an Emergency situation at home or at work until a more qualified Medically trained person arrives. It is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge and skills in first aid.

Course content:

A 6-hour course (1 day) covering:

 · Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

· Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

· Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)

· Choking

· Wounds and bleeding

· Shock

· Minor injuries

· Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment
