Alpha-Med Training

The Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely course is intended as a further development qualification for those working in areas where the assistance and movement of people is a prerequisite part of their role.

The qualification is underpinned by the safe principles of moving and handling but recognises the special skills required when assisting and moving people. The qualification is suitable for new starters in organisations where the movement and assistance of people is a key role as well as being suitable for refresher training.

Candidates gaining this qualification will understand that any moving and handling must be carried out correctly and recognise its importance in ensuring a safer working environment for all.

The qualification can be taken as a free standing qualification or as part of a wider programme of training.

Health and safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, including contractors, visitors and suppliers. Moving People Safely contributes significantly to reducing injury in the workplace.
